New name - I'm now officially Cheryl Tsai... but it's still the same old me! And to those who have said that they will still call me Cheryl Ho-Ho... and Ho-Bag... um.. thanks...

Alas.. Jason is still Jason Tsai. I actually wanted him to take *my* last name... but his real name is Po Hung Tsai... and he'd be Po Ho... so we couldn't have that...!

And with this... I shall end "My Wedding Planning" blog...

As I announced at the wedding... www.jasonlovescheryl.com shall be replaced and continue on with the next chapter of our lives at: www.thetsaifamily.com!

It's over! I hope everyone had an amazing time... Jason and I most certainly did! It's a day that I had been dreaming about for 30+ years.. and 'officially' planning for the past year. Both the wedding and Jason are a dream come true for me. Thank all of you for coming.. and especially those who got on the dance floor with me for Club Cheryl! :-)

I won't be getting my photographer's pictures for quite some time.. but I know there were lots of other cameras around! I'll be getting my dad's pictures before we leave for Bora Bora... so I'll be back to post a couple of pics, and you can be sure that I'll get them up on the website for your viewing pleasure. But for all of you with pictures... can I ask that you please, please, please, please, PLEASE upload them to an online photo site (I don't care which one.. ofoto, shutterfly, snapfish, photoworks... I use them all) - and then share the album with me - you can email either me or Jason. Thanks so much.. and stay tuned...

Meanwhile... I'd love to hear from all of you in this blog... just add your comments - please share any funny stories that you may have had from the wedding weekend... let us know what you enjoyed most... did you all have a good time? :-)

I basically have four days left now to tie up all loose ends 'cause Jason and I plan on going up to Napa Thursday evening. Just lots of teeny eeny weeny little things to do now. And guess what I got Jason to watch tonight... Bridezilla! :-) Yep... we watched 2 brides go into meltdown for their wedding.. and I reminded Jason just how lucky he is! Then we watched Platinum Weddings, and as expensive as we think our own wedding has gotten.. it pales in comparison to the $50K that one couple spent on their band/entertainment... or the $40K that one bride spent on 2 wedding dresses.. or the $90K that another couple spent on just flowers...!

So we just checked the weather report.. Saturday is forecasted to have a high of 85 and a low of 54. It won't be as hot as we might have expected... and might even be quite chilly in the evening... take note! Just remember... dancing can help you stay warm!

Ten more days!!!!! I just spent about 10 hours making escort cards. Agh.. so many little tiny details left. Picked up my beautiful, beautiful dress yesterday. Picked up our marriage license today. Given up on losing any more weight.. I'm basically at the same place I was before I met Jason... but I did lose all that weight I gained while we were dating.. if Jason wasn't cooking up one of his specialties.. it was always KFC or Taco Bell.. mmmm!! :-) Tonight, I had a Healthy Choice frozen dinner, and Jason had potato salad and frozen White Castle burgers.

All in all, things are going well. Every now and then, my blood will rise dealing with certain of my wedding vendors... some are wonderful.. others are seriously just out to screw you days before your wedding because they know you are stuck. Gr.

Oh hey... forgot to mention that I had a wonderful wedding shower in New York a couple of weekends ago! I was able to see a few friends on the East coast who aren't able to come to the wedding, and we all got some cooking lessons at that! We met at a cooking studio and everyone got to contribute a part in making lunch for the day. We chopped, and drank, and sliced, and drank, and stirred, and drank... at the end of the day, the chef was able to pull it all together for a very yummy meal. And Jason and I received so many wonderful cooking gadgets from everyone, including about 50 cookbooks! As you can see.. the theme was - Cheryl needs to learn to cook!

Ribbons, ribbons, ribbons. I will have tied over 800 ribbons after this whole thing is over! Working on the ceremony programs right now. They turned out quite nice. In fact, the place where I ordered it told me... "Your programs are beautiful! We've never done one like yours and we hung a sample of it in our lobby!" Found them online (of course)... they did a great job - Larry Newman Printing.

I'm afraid to read the final printed ones... don't want to find any errors or typos... so when the day comes, and you are reading through the program under a hot sun with beads of sweat on your forehead... and you come across a typo - DO NOT say anything.. DO NOT tell me... I don't want to know... just ignore it... thanks!! :-)

As you know, the Silverado Resort where everyone is staying is sold out... but I do have an extra room.. so if anyone is interested.. let me know! It's a standard room, and the rate is $160 per night. We have buses that will be bringing guests to the wedding from Silverado and back... we've got 40 rooms reserved there already.. so that's the place you want to be!

Jason and I went up to Napa last weekend... the record-setting heat weekend... the temperature gauge on the car read as high as 118 degrees at one point! My oh my. We went up to Merryvale to participate in the wine and food pairing seminar - figured we should check it out since we're recommending it. It's a nice way to spend the morning if you've never been to Napa or want to learn more about wines. It's not exactly a wine and 'food' pairing though.. more like a wine and morsel tasting. You will get 3 taste size glasses of wine - a white.. a red.. a dessert. And then you'll get a small piece of about 3 different cheeses... a few pieces of chocolate.. a wedge of lemon.. a dash of salt.. all different flavors to see how they impact the the taste of the wine and vice versa. You won't exactly get tipsy... but it should still be fun. If it's something you'd like to do.. we still have a few extra spots... just let me know!
