Babysitting Services
If you are staying in Napa, and plan to bring your children, we have found a few recommendations for babysitting services.

Take a Break - contact Vicky at 707.226.9188
Rates begin at $18.50 per hour for a single child. It's an additional $2 per hour per child for a single family - up to 4 children total ages 4+. It's $25 per hour for a group of up to 4 children if from different families. You should plan on having the sitter for about 7 hours - from 3:30pm to 10:30pm. I've spoken to Vicky - she's great - she used to manage the babysitting services at Silverado, and now Silverado recommends her when guests need babysitting. If you are interested in sharing babysitting services, please let me know and I will try to coordinate with other interested guests.

Nannies of the Valley - call 707.251.8035.
I've heard good things about this organization, but I've also heard that they are difficult to get a hold of, and aren't good at returning calls. I had some difficulties, but did finally have one of my calls returned. Rates are $18 per hour for 1 to 2 children; $20 per hour for 3 to 4 children. It's ok to share a nanny with another family. There is a flat $10 travel fee, and a 4 hour minimum for services.

Formal Attire
Indeed, the wedding is a black tie affair, and that means tuxedos for men and evening dresses for women.

For men, if you don't own a tuxedo, your best bet is probably to rent a tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse. They have locations nationwide - you can choose to pick up your tuxedo at any location so you don't have to lug it with you if you are traveling.

Women - I'll trust that you need no further assistance...! One thing I will recommend, however, is that you keep your expensive stilletto heels at home. Several areas of the venue are covered with a gravelly rock material that will scuff up your heels.

Weather in Napa in August
July and August are probably the hottest months of the year in Napa. Expect highs in the low 90s and lows in the high 50s. Women should plan to bring a shawl or wrap as it may get slightly chilly in the evening. Click here for the current and forecasted temperatures in Napa for the month. I'm told Rutherford, where the wedding will take place, is even slightly warmer than Napa... so be prepared...
